Moomins!

Max and I have started to read Tove Jansson's MoominSummer Madness. The Moomins are troll-like creatures from the forest, mostly unknown in the United States. Tove Jansson is from Finland where her Moomin characters are much beloved national treasures. The Moomins are also popular in Japan where they have been serialized into cartoon characters. My mother, Max's Savtah (grandmother in Hebrew) found the Moomins when I was around Max's age and read them to me. Max is quite enjoying them. He especially loves 'Little My' who is very small and very mean. We both think that she is really funny. Here's a picture of 'Little My'
