Sometimes when the kid is too young to read something, you as a parent have to read it to yourself and think about whether some day you will read this to your child.
I heard an interview yesterday on NPR with Katherine Patterson, the author of The Bridge to Teribithia and her son who wrote the screenplay for the upcoming movie. They were so lovely and the book sounded so wonderful, I realized that I had never read it before. So, I started it last evening and am so in love with these wonderful characters and this beautifully constructed book. I look forward to sharing it with Max when he is old enough.
